I try to take at least one weekend road trip a year to kinda reboot my system and give myself a day or two to just not do anything and not be bombarded with chores at home.  If played out right, It doesn’t cost me more than a few hundred bucks to go out of town for the weekend.  Last year’s romp was in Chicago, this year I’ve been  playing more toward the beach… don’t wanna go as far as Myrtle (god I hate tourist traps!), but was thinking more on the lines of either Duck North Carolina, or staying in Wilmington NC to sleep and going to find a quiet beach to just hang out at for an afternoon.
Yep… this is pretty much what I’d be doing the whole time there…
Haven’t planned when I’m going, thinking on doing it on a whim like last year ;)
I read that hurricane season usually starts picking up in August on the east coast, so I might do it for my birthday instead this year, but not ON my birthday (July 2nd) due to the holiday rush.  Maybe mid July?
